NotLuau✎

True when the value is `nil` or `false`, and false for everything else. Takes any value, so `not part` on an `Instance?` is the usual way to ask whether it is there. Note that 0 and an empty string are true in Luau. Brackets, in the Inspector, wraps the result in `( )`; precedence is handled either way.

  • the language itself, so it works in Roblox and in Lune
  • pure — no execution pins, wire it anywhere
  • names its result — Result name in the Inspector is the local it binds, and a Declare Local reading that result makes a second one: see Variables and locals
