Release

  1. 0.146.0roswaal for macOS, nodes from a pack say so, and files from elsewhere are read to a limit.SecurityNew2026-10-06

Warning

Worth knowing before you upgrade.
  • 0.146.0A Wally version is written as 1.2.3, ^1.2.3 or =1.2.3, which are the forms Roswaal installs from. Anything else is refused with that message.

Added

  • 0.146.0roswaal for macOS on Apple Silicon, built with the Windows one for every release and attached to it. Getting started has the steps for each, with Rokit and from source.
  • 0.146.0A node from a node pack says so: the node picker marks it Pack and names its file, and the Inspector says which pack it came from and shows the Luau it writes.

Changed

  • 0.146.0A zip is unpacked to the sizes its index gives, and no more than 128 MiB in all. A damaged zip says it is damaged.
  • 0.146.0A place file's chunks are opened to the sizes they could have, and its instances are read as a tree.
  • 0.146.0Downloads from the Wally registry and from GitHub are read to a limit: 128 MiB for an archive, 4 MiB for a list of versions.
  • 0.146.0Adding a Wally package checks its name, alias and version before wally.toml is changed.
  • 0.146.0The backup copy of the editor on GitHub Pages opens projects from a .zip or a place, not folders, and lets go of any folder it remembered. Folders open on roswaal.app.
  • 0.146.0Creating custom nodes says that a pack's nodes put their author's Luau into your game.
